About BJJ Wädenswil

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ):

BJJ focuses on grappling and ground fighting. It emphasizes the principle that a smaller, weaker person can successfully defend against a bigger, stronger opponent using technique and leverage.

Origin:

Ju-Jitsu, a traditional Japanese martial art, predates and influenced the development of Judo. As Judo, originally known as Kano Ju-Jitsu, was introduced and evolved in Brazil, it was adapted into what is now known globally as Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, retaining the original art's focus on leverage and technique.

Our Academy:

Founded in 2023, BJJ Wädenswil is an autonomous part of Budoschule Wädenswil. We specialize in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, upholding the broader ethos of our parent school while fostering a close partnership with BJJ Lab Zürich. This connection enriches our training programs and helps cultivate a strong community of practitioners.
